Teach a child how to fish and he will grow up to kill fish and decimate our oceans. Teach a child how to rescue, rehabilitate, and release fish and other marine life back into the ocean where they belong and he may grow up to be a compassionate person instead of a follower of cruel and unnecessary traditions.

I get annoyed when ppl tell me we’re slaves (to the “system”, to the government, to our wages) and actually believe we’re slaves. Casually labelling ourselves as slaves disrespects what being a slave means. Especially when this is in response to explaining to them that farmed animals are our non-consenting property and slaves! But of course if we were slaves like the other animals who are discriminated against and exploited for not being human, we’d be in cages and cueing up for slaughter.

Telling a vegan how much you enjoy eating rare “juicy” and “tasty” baby animals doesn’t hurt the vegans. It just makes you sound like a childish psychopath. Find a new, clever way to troll. Cuz you’re pretty much looking at lame in the rear-view mirror. ~yawn~

This woman in the supermarket is telling me she loves animals. I said that’s great[,] now live your values and go vegan. She says being vegan isn’t natural. I said that’s a myth, there are millions of vegans world wide that prove this to be untrue. She says I don’t care what you say, it’s unnatural! While she was walking away, I started thinking she must really care about being natural with her fake boobs, color contacts and bottles of soda in her shopping cart. 😦

I am an abolitionist vegan who loves all animals, and who adores rabbits. Rabbits have been my non-human life companions for the past 15 years. I rescued them from different kinds of predicaments and have spent my time, energy and money caring for them. They are at the center of my life and I cannot to this day imagine waking up to anything but little persons with antennas hopping across the house. However, I am not more shocked or distressed when I see a rabbit in someone’s plate anymore than when I see a pig, a lamb, a chicken, a duck, a cow, an egg, a yogurt or any other animal or animal product. Not all animals have the good fortune of being rescued, but all deserve not to be used for our pleasure and convenience. So to all the people I know, and don’t know, who open their hearts and homes to animals in need, please consider all the other animals used for food, clothing and entertainment, and become vegan.
