But over time we realized that our goals are the same

When we started the meetings, I sat right next to a rancher wearing my PETA shirt, and he thought I was the devil incarnate. But over time we realized that our goals are the same. We both want the farmer who treats his animals well to succeed because, in the end, that will reduce animal suffering.
